Job Summary:

We are seeking a visionary Emerging Revenue Director to spearhead the development and growth of new subscriber and consumer revenue streams at the Minnesota Star Tribune.

This role will focus on expanding subscriber bases and audiences for new products through strategic consumer marketing initiatives to maximize return on investment and lifetime value.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building subscriber or membership businesses, developing new revenue lines, and leading cross-functional teams to drive growth and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Vet, develop, and stand-up new subscriber and consumer revenue lines
  • Work cross-functionally to develop new consumer products and services
  • Own the P&Ls of new subscriber or consumer growth channels, ensuring financial viability
  • Grow subscribers and audiences of new products, leveraging consumer marketing to maximize ROI and LTV
  • Seek out opportunities for consumer revenue growth, collaborating with the broader team
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience building subscriber or membership businesses
  • Proven track record of developing new revenue lines
  • Cross-functional leadership and collaboration skills
  • Innovative and creative problem-solving abilities
  • Experience working with B2B products and services
  • Partnership experience a plus
