POSITION SUMMARY

The Manufacturing Production Coordinator is accountable for planning, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring the flow of products throughout the entire production cycle. This role involves forecasting and planning capacity requirements to ensure alignment with various departments while identifying variances from production schedules, resource levels, and inventory demands.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Analyze open sales orders to ascertain customer requirements.
  • Facilitate the delivery of components to expedite material flow and meet production schedules.
  • Leverage ERP systems to automatically generate manufacturing work orders.
  • Collaborate with Customer Support and Purchasing/Procurement teams regarding material shortages.
  • Inform Customer Service and/or Sales teams of any schedule impacts affecting customers.
  • Identify and resolve production issues or bottlenecks that affect plant capacity.
  • Coordinate and expedite production builds to ensure schedules are met.
  • Timely scheduling of production work orders to the production floor to achieve internal financial goals and customer delivery timelines.
  • Generate reports evaluating plant capacity and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Utilize manufacturing data and reports to derive insights into efficiency, production rates, and other performance metrics.
  • Complete status reports, including production progress, customer information, and materials inventory.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders such as Engineering, Sales, and Marketing to develop current and forecasted plans.
  • Exercise independent judgment within established procedures to determine appropriate actions.
  • Recommend process and equipment enhancements to optimize production capabilities.
  • Consult with department Supervisors/Managers to assess work progress, completion dates, and inventory levels; resolve production challenges.
  • Execute job closings in the ERP system before month-end.
  • Perform additional tasks and projects as assigned by the Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field; or a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience, particularly in manufacturing within the medical/bio-tech sector or a similarly regulated industry.
  • Over 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet stringent deadlines.
  • Exceptional decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated experience in tracking production efficiencies and reporting statistics to senior management.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of ERP software systems is required; experience with Syteline is advantageous.
  • Understanding of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and techniques for maximizing effective manufacturing and distribution of goods.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to consolidate and analyze data, draw conclusions, and effectively communicate recommended solutions.
  • Capability to work efficiently, manage time, and deliver results punctually.
  • Attention to detail is essential.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 15 pounds.
