Job Title: Control Specialist

At Fairbanks Morse Defense, we are seeking a highly skilled Control Specialist to join our team. As a Control Specialist, you will be responsible for installing, commissioning, and servicing control systems on our engine lines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct installation, testing, and troubleshooting services for control systems
  • Establish and maintain excellent relationships with customers, coworkers, and sales representatives
  • Communicate effectively with Region Offices and direct manager
  • Perform shop duties such as general machining, part inspections, assembly, testing, and warehouse operations
Technical Requirements:
  • Stay current on Engineering Change Orders, Field Service Change Notices, and Service Information Letters
  • Document work performed on Service Reports and write Condition Found Reports
Safety Requirements:
  • Operate in a safe manner in accordance with published safety guidelines
  • Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as per company guidelines
  • Report all work-related accidents or injuries immediately to the appropriate personnel
Administrative Requirements:
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting according to company guidelines
  • Maintain certification for this position based on internal Service Progression Requirements
Customer Satisfaction:
  • Provide proper and adequate communication to internal and external customers
  • Complete scheduled maintenance documentation properly and provide to the customer upon completion of each designated assignment
Performance:
  • Maximize productivity by combining service opportunities
  • Complete all work in an efficient and timely manner
  • Maintain productive utilization rate according to company guidelines

This position requires access to Unclassified Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information, which is Not Releasable to Foreign Nationals (NOFORN) data. To meet NOFORN requirements, you must provide proof of US Citizenship and attest that you do not have dual citizenship.

Acceptable proof of US Citizenship includes a US Passport, US Birth Certificate, or Naturalization Certificate.
