Ride Control Systems Engineer

Job Summary
As a Ride Control Systems Engineer at NBC Universal Media, LLC, you will be responsible for providing technical guidance for attractions and ensuring the successful specification, design, production, installation, and acceptance testing of ride and show control systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all show and ride control equipment maintains the highest level of safety in accordance with Universal Specifications, accepted manufacturing practices, and local standards.
- Develop scope, bid, and award for each show element, monitoring and tracking progress of design, fabrication, and installation.
- Review and evaluate activities of vendors and sub-contractors to ensure product quality and compliance to specifications.
- Review engineering design, installation, and validation of systems.
- Provide technical guidance to Show and Ride Responsible Engineers during installation, testing, and adjustment activities.
- Enforce show and ride technical principles to provide a quality product and necessary deliverables to our customer.
- Support the test and adjustment of all control systems produced.
- Advise and coordinate with the Technical Director regarding the status and engineering quality of show and ride control systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience in an engineering role.
- 1-3+ years of vendor management experience with significant in-field installation-related experience.
- Strong critical thinking and complex troubleshooting skills.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
- High degree of tact and diplomacy to obtain favorable decisions or maintain goodwill.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Rockwell Automation products, software, and communication protocols.
- Knowledgeable in UL 508A, NEC, NFPA, and ASTM F24 standards.
- Knowledgeable in functional safety standards (ISO 12100, 13849-1, 13849-2, IEC 62061, and 60204-1).
