Role Purpose:
The Civil Project Manager (PM) is a seasoned licensed engineer responsible for defining project parameters, developing task lists, coordinating efforts, and ensuring timely delivery within budget constraints. The PM oversees work quality, manages project scope, maintains client relationships, and ensures project profitability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to draft service scopes and fee proposals for project approval.
  • Oversee scheduling, budgeting, design scope, quality control, and supervise engineering teams throughout project phases.
  • Review project scopes and deliverables, creating task lists and schedules for team alignment.
  • Prepare documentation and requests for proposals to facilitate subconsultant engagement.
  • Manage information flow among design teams and subconsultants, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Conduct research to gather necessary project data and review preliminary design submissions.
  • Facilitate project meetings with clients and local agencies, ensuring effective communication and client satisfaction.
  • Review final design submissions for accuracy before approval by senior management.
  • Mentor junior engineers and assist in the development of their skills and project management capabilities.
  • Engage in business development activities to foster community relationships and enhance brand visibility.
  • Participate in recruitment efforts to attract top engineering talent.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by senior management.
  • Occasional travel may be required for project meetings and site visits.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven experience in preparing design calculations and documentation.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong delegation and project management skills.
  • Ability to lead design efforts and ensure project completion.
  • Proficient in civil design software, including AutoCAD and Civil3D.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated with a strong ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
Physical Demands:
Ability to exert up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently. The role primarily involves sitting, with occasional walking or standing.

Working Environment:
Work is typically conducted in an office setting, with occasional travel to project sites.
