Job Title: Mental Health Service Coordinator

We are seeking experienced professionals to fill the position of Mental Health Service Coordinator for our community mental health programs in Sacramento County.

About the Role

The Mental Health Service Coordinator will be responsible for delivering comprehensive mental health, substance abuse, and support services to adults with mental illness. This includes assessments, service plan development, case management, housing support, skills training, group facilitation, crisis intervention, and individual and group therapy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepares clinical documents according to Agency standards and HIPAA regulations.
  • Conducts assessments, service plan development, housing plan development, case management, psychosocial rehabilitation, crisis intervention, program transfers, and discharges.
  • Ensures consumers assigned to the caseload are within County Authorization.
  • Provides group counseling and co-occurring skills groups with clients.
  • Participates in internal utilization review and Agency quality assurance reviews.
Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have:

  • A High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years or more full-time direct mental health experience.
  • Ability to type 35-45 words per minute.
  • Familiarity with Contact Management systems, Database software, Internet software, Spreadsheet software, and Word Processing software.
Compensation

Compensation placement is based on Sacramento County Classification:

  • MHA I - $19.14 (High School diploma & two (2) years but less than four (4) years of FTE experience)
  • MHA II - $20.00 (High School diploma & two (2) years of FTE experience)
  • MHA III - $21.50 (High School diploma & (4) years of (FTE) direct care experience)
  • MHRS - $23.00 (Master's degree & 2 yrs. (FTE) of direct mental health care)

Estimated salary range: $19-$23 per hour.
