Powertrain Electrical Engineer

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Powertrain Electrical Engineer to join our team at Zobility. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for troubleshooting complex powertrain electrical issues, collaborating with various teams to identify root causes, and driving issues to resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Powertrain Electrical Root Cause Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of powertrain electrical issues, identifying root causes and developing strategies to resolve them.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with various teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and quality, to drive issues to resolution.
- Develop and Implement Solutions: Design and implement solutions to address powertrain electrical issues, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering: A bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering from an ABET-accredited university is required.
- 3-5 Years of Automotive Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the automotive industry, with a focus on powertrain electrical systems.
- Powertrain and Vehicle System Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of powertrain and vehicle systems, including electrical architectures and control systems.
- Proficiency in Electrical Root Cause Tools: Proficiency in using electrical root cause tools such as CDA, CAN, CANalizer, Canoe, and other related tools.
Preferred Requirements:
- Extensive Knowledge of Electrical Root Cause Tools: Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with electrical root cause tools such as INCA, CDA, CAN, CANalizer, Canoe, and other related tools.
- Reactive Quality Tools: Knowledge of reactive quality tools such as Shanin Red X and other related tools.
Additional Requirements:
- Experience in Automotive and/or Manufacturing Environment: Experience working in an automotive and/or manufacturing environment is required.
- Self-Starter with Analytical Skills: A self-starter with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- 3-5 Years of Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the automotive industry, with a focus on powertrain electrical systems.
Location:
- 100% Onsite: 100% onsite work required, with occasional travel to Detroit assembly plants and other locations as needed.
