Job Description:

The LDC Operations Manager is tasked with overseeing a Local Distribution Center and ensuring its seamless integration within the Regional Distribution Network. This role is pivotal in driving the performance of distribution operations, focusing on safety, operational plans, budget adherence, and the accuracy of shipping and inventory.

The manager will also play a crucial role in training, developing, mentoring, and evaluating the performance of the distribution center's workforce.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote a culture of safety within the facility, ensuring timely training completion and compliance with all safety and OSHA regulations.
  • Guarantee adherence to all organizational policies and procedures.
  • Oversee the maintenance of all machinery and equipment.
  • Enhance warehouse productivity through Continuous Improvement methodologies and standardization practices.
  • Manage inventory effectively to maintain accurate records, ensure availability integrity, and achieve optimal customer service.
  • Analyze and address issues as they arise, making informed decisions to resolve them.

Compensation: The compensation range for this position is approximately $90,915 - $100,485, contingent upon the candidate's qualifications, experience, and education.

Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required, along with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience. Previous direct management experience in a large, multi-shift, high-volume, fast-paced warehousing environment is preferred, as is experience in the HVAC sector.

The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of distribution center best practices, policies, procedures, and trade terms. Exceptional leadership skills are essential for building successful teams. Familiarity with Lean distribution methodologies is advantageous, along with experiential knowledge of fiscal control, budget forecasting, and distribution operations metrics. Strong decision-making and creative problem-solving abilities are crucial, as is the capacity to perform steadily under pressure. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, is required.
