About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Assembly Operator to join our team at BorgWarner. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for assembling new and/or replacement parts by operating intermediate machines and equipment to assemble complete units or complex subassemblies from blueprints.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and operate production equipment to ensure efficient and high-quality production.
  • Check equipment for proper functioning and report any deviations or quality defects.
  • Ensure compliance with production parameters and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Perform general support within the production processes and assemble parts using simple hand tools and/or special assembly tools.
  • Load and unload machines using proper handling equipment and maintain all fluid levels of equipment.
  • Operate equipment to highest production and quality standards and maintain quality standards by following proper inspection procedures.
  • Understand and adhere to current quality and control policies and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive.
  • Detail-oriented and consistent with strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work on a team, work independently, accurately, and precisely.
  • Interest in electrical engineering processes and general experience in production processes.
  • Manual Assembly Skills, hands-on laborer using tools and mechanical knowledge.
  • Basic shop math required (decimals, addition, subtraction, fractions).
  • Ability to learn how to read basic blueprints.
