PacifiCorp is seeking a highly skilled Transmission and Distribution Planner to join our team. As a key member of our Power Delivery department, you will be responsible for providing strategic advice and counsel to management and client organizations regarding workforce utilization and delivery of capital and operational management plans.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert advice and guidance on transmission and distribution planning, including the development of financial forecasts and resource requirements for wires districts.
- Manage the workflow of outstanding transmission conditions, ensuring timely correction and compliance with company standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to design and implement transmission conditions, and work with field management to ensure timely completion of condition corrections.
- Assist in managing operational and maintenance budgets, and report complex financial and operational performance data in simple terms.
- Audit expense work orders created by field resources, and analyze business processes to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop cost estimates and resource requirements for construction and maintenance projects, and contribute to the development of standardized historical cost databases and application tools.
- Identify and recommend long-range asset data management and system improvements to strategically balance risk and reward.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, finance, accounting, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of three years of experience in an applicable field, with program design skills and the ability to communicate requirements and develop detailed written and visual instructions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
- Knowledge of or ability to quickly acquire required engineering specifications and drawings, and company policies, practices, and procedures.
- Three years of cost estimating experience in the high voltage industry.
- Project Management or Estimating Accreditation.
- Working knowledge of SAP.
- Experience with job cost accounting and variance analysis.
- Understanding of distribution reliability, including the ability to understand how different types of capital and corrective maintenance work affect key reliability performance indicators.
