Job Summary

As a Clinical Staff Pharmacist at CAMC Health System, you will play a vital role in managing the medication use process, ensuring the safe and effective treatment of patients. This position requires a strong foundation in pharmacy practice, with a focus on patient care and medication therapy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and evaluate medication orders, ensuring appropriateness and safety for patients.
  • Dispense medications with accurate labeling and compound sterile and non-sterile products as needed.
  • Respond to and assist in emergency situations, such as cardiac arrests.
  • Provide drug information to healthcare providers and participate in performance planning and review of pharmacy technicians.
  • Supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in pharmacy practice and literature.
Requirements
  • Doctorate degree in pharmacy or a related field.
  • Current licensure as a pharmacist in the state of West Virginia.
  • Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
Work Environment

This is a full-time, regular position with a standard work schedule. The ideal candidate will be a team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
