Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Deli Food Preparation Specialist to join our team at Parkhurst Dining. As a Deli Food Preparation Specialist, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality food items found on the Deli menu in accordance with Parkhurst standards and procedures under strict sanitary conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Prepare all Deli items to order and in a timely manner, ensuring that they meet Parkhurst's high standards of taste, appearance, and temperature.
  • Service Line Preparation: Prepare the service line for operation as instructed by the Executive Chef and/or Manager on duty, ensuring that it is garnished properly at all times.
  • Quality Control: Check the quality of food items and report any substandard quality to the Executive Chef and/or Manager on duty.
  • Guest Interaction: Interact with our guests in a friendly, professional manner, following Smile Plus Hospitality Imperatives.
  • Signage and Merchandising: Post all necessary signage and merchandise the service area to ensure a visually appealing environment.
  • Equipment Operation and Cleaning: Operate and clean all equipment used in the Deli, ensuring that it is in good working condition and clean as you go.
  • Prep and Cleaning: Complete prep needed for the following meal, including box lunches or catering, and follow the cleaning schedule as provided by management.
  • Communication: Maintain an open line of communication with management, informing them of products and supplies needed.
  • Uniform and Personal Hygiene: Follow the uniform dress code and maintain proper personal hygiene at all times.
  • Teamwork: Assist fellow team members at every opportunity and follow all Parkhurst Hospitality Gold Standards.
Requirements
  • Physical Demands: The physical demands of this role include standing and/or walking for 100% of the time, occasionally lifting up to 40 lbs, and frequently lifting up to 10 lbs.
