C-12 / King Air Transport Aircraft Mechanic (FAA A&P)
The role involves conducting organizational and intermediate maintenance on C-12 aircraft, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work during Second Shift hours - 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM.
- Possess a valid FAA A&P Certificate.
- Follow the Union CBA guidelines which categorize A&P experience into three levels based on years of service on C-12/ King Air aircraft.
- AM-1: Requires Two (2) Years of A&P experience, with preference for candidates having two or more years of C-12 experience.
- AM-2: Requires Five (5) Years of A&P mechanic experience specifically on C-12/ King Air aircraft.
- AM-3: Requires Ten (10) Years of A&P mechanic experience, including Thirteen (13) Years of specific C-12 experience.
- Must be a US Citizen to qualify for a US Government Secret Security Clearance.
- Responsible for servicing, troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying aircraft systems to maintain airworthiness.
- Tasks include working on avionics, electrical systems, engines, flight controls, and airframe components.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment for repairs.
- Adhere to aircraft records procedures as outlined in DA PAM.
- Document aircraft discrepancies in compliance with approved maintenance procedures.
- Understand and utilize computerized maintenance software.
- Participate in aircraft recovery missions as needed.
- Conduct engine run or taxi operations and achieve certification within 12 months of employment.
- Interpret manufacturers' maintenance manuals and service bulletins to assess repair feasibility.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Valid FAA A&P Certificate is mandatory.
- Union CBA outlines three levels of A&P experience based on years of service on C-12/ King Air aircraft.
- AM-1: Requires Two (2) Years of A&P experience, with preference for C-12 experience.
- AM-2: Requires Five (5) Years of C-12/ King Air A&P mechanic experience.
- AM-3: Requires Ten (10) Years of A&P mechanic experience and Thirteen (13) Years of C-12 experience.
- Valid Driver's License is necessary.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret Security Clearance.
- Willingness to work shifts and/or rotate in a multiple shift operation is essential.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Compliance with FAA regulations.
- Possession of a valid FAA Aircraft & Powerplant (A&P) license.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Demonstrated reliability and self-motivation.
- Physical capability to meet aircraft specifications for weight limits.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, squatting, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
