Media Buyer

The Media Buyer is a key role in driving awareness and sales of DR Power brand D2C (Direct to Consumer) Outdoor Power Equipment through media activations. This position requires a critical thinker who can analyze data and negotiate with media vendors to bring digital and video media buys to life.
Key Responsibilities- Negotiate rates to ensure maximum profitability and prepare correspondence for negotiation and relationship maintenance with outside representatives and/or agencies.
- Monitor profitability and performance of current ad schedule, reviewing ad performance on each media account prior to scheduled start date of future ads to determine how buys should be made.
- Coordinate advertising schedules and create advertising contracts on assigned accounts using our proprietary ad database.
- Coordinate with Production regarding creative needs for advertising, including review of advertising pieces before public viewing.
- Inform manager of any issues on accounts or media that will affect the overall bottom line, either immediately or in the future.
- Maintain marketing database and advertising performance metrics.
- Test into and expand into new media which results in profitable ROI.
- Initiate strategies for improvement of production and other systems in the department and help implement them.
- Coordinate the trafficking of all ad buying contracts, insertion orders, vendor relations, and reviews and approves all invoices.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of Advertising or Media Experience.
- Possess a working knowledge of the media industry, specifically related to direct-response advertising, preferably in one or more areas such as television, online, and print.
- Prior experience directly partnering with advertising network contacts.
- Experience with Google Campaign Manager (CM360).
This role requires frequent and continuous computer-based work, requiring periods of sitting, close vision, and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel may be required.
