Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Warehouse Equipment Operator to join our team at FedEx. As a Material Handling Specialist - Trailer Switcher, you will be responsible for performing trailer switches, communicating with management and central control to coordinate trailer movements, and documenting trailer moves.

Job Description: In this role, you will perform trailer switches, which involve hooking and moving a parked trailer from the yard to a load/unload door or hooking and moving a trailer from a door to the yard. You will also communicate with management and central control to coordinate trailer movements in the yard and document trailer moves using the Yard Management System or switcher cards.
Responsibilities: As a Material Handling Specialist - Trailer Switcher, your responsibilities will include:
- Performing trailer switches in a safe and efficient manner
- Communicating with management and central control to coordinate trailer movements
- Documenting trailer moves using the Yard Management System or switcher cards
- Performing pre- and post-trip inspections on switcher equipment
- Understanding and demonstrating effective yard switching safety processes and procedures
- Performing Package Handler essential functions such as Loading and Unloading packages and/or Lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling packages
Required Skills and Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You must also be able to lift, carry, push, and pull packages up to 75 pounds.
