Biomedical Equipment Technician

Medasource is in search of a proficient Biomedical Equipment Technician. The selected individual will undertake the installation, assessment, troubleshooting, repair, calibration, and performance validation of sophisticated biomedical devices. The technician will focus on general biomedical equipment and must be adept in utilizing all essential testing apparatus and tools required for the role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a technical consultant to medical and clinical personnel regarding the safe use of clinical devices.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance inspections, scheduled upkeep, electrical safety inspections, and operational verification on complex biomedical devices.
  • Repair, install, and calibrate intricate biomedical instruments.
  • Keep management updated on repair progress and any atypical equipment issues.
  • Ensure the precision of the equipment database, encompassing inventory, maintenance schedules, nomenclature, and service records.
  • Adhere to the Medical Equipment Management Plan (MEMP) and other pertinent policies.
  • Complete all service documentation with accuracy.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in a technical or electronics discipline, or equivalent military experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in handling biomedical equipment within a clinical engineering environment.
