Position: Biomedical Equipment Technician
We are looking for a proficient Biomedical Equipment Technician to enhance our operational capabilities. The successful candidate will be tasked with the installation, assessment, troubleshooting, maintenance, calibration, and performance validation of sophisticated biomedical devices. A strong emphasis will be placed on general biomedical equipment expertise, and the technician must be adept in utilizing all required testing apparatus and tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a technical consultant to healthcare professionals regarding the safe usage of clinical devices.
- Conduct preventive maintenance inspections, scheduled upkeep, electrical safety inspections, and operational verification on complex biomedical apparatus.
- Repair, install, and calibrate advanced biomedical devices.
- Keep management updated on repair progress and any atypical equipment issues.
- Ensure the precision of the equipment inventory database, encompassing stock levels, maintenance schedules, nomenclature, and service records.
- Adhere to the Medical Equipment Management Plan (MEMP) and other pertinent guidelines.
- Complete all service documentation with accuracy and thoroughness.
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in a technical or electronics discipline, or equivalent military experience.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in handling biomedical equipment within a clinical engineering environment.
