Job Summary

The Intake Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring seamless patient access to infusion services at AristaCare Health. This experienced professional will be responsible for managing the referral intake process, communicating with insurance companies, and coordinating with the AristaCare Health team to ensure timely and effective patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate with referral sources, insurance companies, and patients to obtain necessary information and authorization for infusion services.
  • Effectively document all information in the AristaCare Health system and notify the team when referrals are ready for service.
  • Participate in the Patient Referral Huddle Process to review pending referrals and ensure a viable and safe referral process.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines regarding patient information and proprietary AristaCare Health information.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including marketing, account executives, and pharmacy staff.
  • Complete all mandatory and regulatory training programs.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • One year of intake experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience in the home health care field.
  • Basic knowledge of the Insurance approval/authorization process.

  • Ability to effectively communicate internally and externally, via phone and through email.
  • Strong PC skills, with a focus on Excel proficiency.
