Role of Finish Blade Operator

We are currently seeking a qualified Finish Blade Operator to join our team. This role is crucial as it involves operating heavy construction machinery while adhering to safety protocols and understanding the nuances of cut/fill operations across various projects. Daily responsibilities include conducting routine inspections and performing preventive maintenance on assigned equipment, as well as reporting any defects or required repairs to supervisory personnel.

As a Finish Blade Operator at Rummel, you will have the opportunity to work with some of the latest and best-maintained equipment in the industry. Whether operating a 140m, 150m, or 14m, you can expect your machinery to be in excellent condition, well-fueled, and ready for operation. Minimum Qualifications and Experience

  • Proficient in understanding the controls and functions of the blade
  • Capable of achieving acceptable rough and finish grades in various soil types and conditions
  • Able to read and interpret stake grades and project plans
  • Effective communication skills with ground personnel and supervisors
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction sector operating a Finish Blade
  • Experience in earthmoving and heavy construction, with a solid understanding of cut/fill operations
  • Willingness to travel as required
  • Familiarity with Trimble GPS technology
