Job Overview

This is a long-term assignment in a dynamic warehouse environment.


POSITION SUMMARY:

The primary responsibility of this role is to facilitate the shipping, receiving, storage, and order fulfillment of finished products, inventory, materials, supplies, components, and equipment at the designated facility.

This position involves regular interaction with peers and requires effective communication and customer service skills.

Success in this role necessitates a foundational understanding of shipping, receiving, and inventory management processes, along with the capability to comprehend and analyze team performance metrics.

The job involves repetitive tasks where the ability to identify deviations from standard practices is essential.

Accuracy is critical in all job functions, as mistakes could lead to operational delays. Punctuality and consistent attendance are expected. The individual will typically receive general guidance on routine tasks and detailed instructions for new responsibilities.

Training on equipment will be provided through personalized instruction, on-the-job training (OJT), and established training protocols.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Efficiently pick, pack, sort, organize, count, store, and accurately process items for storage and/or shipment in accordance with established protocols and customer specifications, ensuring a high level of quality.
  • Receive incoming materials and/or finished products daily, verifying the quality, type, and quantity against the appropriate documentation.
  • Work in a warehouse setting with varying temperature conditions.
  • Safely operate distribution equipment as required.
  • Complete client training requirements and adhere to all ISO standards related to warehouse operations.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

A minimum of 0-2 years of relevant experience is necessary. Experience in logistics within a life sciences context is preferred. A proven track record of independently following policies, procedures, and meeting deadlines is essential. Candidates must be capable of operating powered industrial trucks and managing equipment at various heights.

Basic computer skills are required to navigate ERP systems, email, and shipping software to support daily operations.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This role involves working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures. The job is highly repetitive, requiring walking, standing, reaching, and lifting up to 25 lbs consistently. Regularly pushing and pulling up to 25 lbs and climbing is expected. Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs may be required. The work environment may involve moderate to high noise levels. Flexibility to work different shifts and overtime as needed is essential.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

An accredited high school diploma or GED is required.


WORK SCHEDULE:

This is a full-time position, typically Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with the possibility of overtime.
