Job Summary
The Clinical Psychologist - Correctional Facility will provide mental health services to inmates in a correctional facility. This position requires a strong understanding of psychological principles and practices, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments of inmates
- Develop and implement treatment plans to address mental health issues
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
- Participate in interdisciplinary team evaluations and consultations
- Supervise and train students, interns, and other staff members
Requirements
- Doctorate degree in Psychology from an accredited institution
- Valid license as a Psychologist issued by the California Board of Psychology
- Experience working in a correctional setting or with at-risk populations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
