We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our Production team in Providence, RI. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance on production and support equipment, troubleshooting and repairing equipment issues, and maintaining facility upkeep.
Key Responsibilities- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on production and support equipment
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment issues as they arise
- Maintain facility upkeep, including compressed air equipment, forklift fleet, and washing equipment
- Generate purchase orders for needed components and supplies
- Communicate with operations and production supervisors on equipment issues
- Record inspection documentation for ISO requirements
- Operate forklift and reach truck to move material and equipment
- Maintain safe work practices and housekeeping programs
- 3-5 years of experience in machine maintenance
- Electrical troubleshooting knowledge a plus
- Ability to read and communicate with others
- Basic math skills
- Ability to use basic hand and power tools
- Requires standing for long periods, bending, and reaching
- Able to lift 50 lbs
- Organized and maintain a clean and organized area
- Individual should possess his own maintenance tools
This position conducts work in a manufacturing environment with some exposure to the outdoors. The plant floor is not temperature controlled. Business is cyclical and will require flexibility in shift hours and days of the week worked.
