Job Title: Programmer/Analyst

We are seeking a skilled Programmer/Analyst to join our team at Wake Forest University School of Medicine. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing data dashboards and visualizations to support various enterprise initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement interactive dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using tools such as Tableau or PowerBI
  • Develop data preprocessing pipelines to ensure high-quality input for models and algorithms
  • Convert EHR data to analysis-ready datasets based on specifications from clinical and research faculty
  • Document code, methodologies, and results for effective knowledge sharing
  • Develop and maintain data visualization best practices and standards to ensure consistency and quality across all reporting
Requirements:
  • Strong experience with visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, or R Shiny
  • Working knowledge of research methods and statistical techniques, and how to apply them accurately and appropriately
  • Familiarity and experience with Agile or a similar project management methodology
  • Superior oral and written communication skills to translate complex data into consumable visualizations and into presentable digestible explanations
  • Working knowledge of SQL, Oracle and SQL Server databases
  • Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
