Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to take on the role of Section Chief within our esteemed Peds Psychiatry department. This full-time, permanent position offers a unique opportunity to lead a dynamic team of psychiatrists and advanced practice providers in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team, including child psychiatrists, neuropsychologists, and pediatric psychologists.
- Maintain an active clinical practice while dedicating time to leadership and team collaboration.
- Work closely with operational managers and other section chiefs to enhance service delivery.
- Oversee comprehensive patient evaluations and follow-up care, ensuring high-quality support from psychology and nursing staff.
Qualifications:
- Doctorate in Medicine (MD) or Osteopathy (DO) required.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant clinical experience, with a preference for candidates with 3+ years in a pediatric hospital setting.
- Proven leadership skills and a commitment to professional development as a physician leader.
- Licensure as a Physician in the State of Michigan is mandatory.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required, with Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) as needed based on specialty.
