Leadership Opportunity in Pediatric Psychiatry
We are seeking a board-certified child & adolescent psychiatrist to lead our new 12-bed, state-of-the-art pediatric medical psychiatric unit at Corewell Health Helen DeVos Children's Hospital. As Medical Director, you will be responsible for ensuring quality, safety, and evidence-based practice, managing the unit's census, and working with payors for authorization and credentialing. You will also lead quality, safety, and experience work, provide necessary reporting, and act as an advocate for patients, families, staff, and multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assure quality, safety, and evidence-based practice
- Manage and oversee the unit's 12-bed census
- Work with payors for ongoing authorization and credentialing
- Lead quality, safety, and experience work and provide necessary reporting
- Act as an advocate and provide ongoing communication with patients, families, staff, and multidisciplinary teams
- Partner with nursing, care management, and providers to achieve unit goals
- Serve as a liaison with TJC and state of Michigan for site accreditation visits
- Be the authority in care treatment plans when there are differing views
- Build and maintain a positive unit culture where patients, providers, and staff can thrive

BC/BE Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
License - Michigan, MD/DO
Certification - BLS
