Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Psychiatrist to join our team in a residential treatment program. As a key member of our clinical team, you will provide ongoing psychiatric care to residents with mental or emotional problems, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide routine and emergency assessments, diagnostic clarification, treatment recommendations, and coordination of care for assigned clients.
  • Oversee psychiatric care of residents in a residential treatment setting, working closely with our clinical team to deliver high-quality care.
  • Attend weekly treatment team meetings to discuss client progress and develop treatment plans.
  • Serve as a liaison with our medical director, clinical director, and other treatment team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Document patient encounters through weekly progress notes and other relevant documentation.
  • Assist with utilization reviews and provide cross-coverage to psychiatry team cases as needed.
  • Maintain excellent communication with other members of the clinical team, outpatient providers, and family members.
  • Complete discharge recommendation assessments as part of collaborative discharge summaries.
Qualifications
  • Doctorate in Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) or psychiatric APRN (Advanced Practice Registered Nurse) required.
  • Board Certified preferred.
  • Experience in child/adolescent and/or adult psychiatry required.
  • Licensed in the state for which you are applying required.
  • Experience in a residential setting preferred.
