Job Summary:

The Assistant Store Manager plays a critical role in maintaining a clean, well-organized store with a customer-first focus. This position assists the Store Manager in supervising store employees, managing merchandise, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service, greeting and assisting customers, and operating cash registers.
  • Assist with scheduling employees, providing training, and conducting safety meetings.
  • Manage merchandise, including receiving, stocking, and rotating products on shelves.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate inventory levels and controlling damages, markdowns, and scanning.
  • Implement and maintain planograms, ensuring merchandise is presented according to company standards.
  • Ensure financial integrity of the store through strict cashier accountability and cash control procedures.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • One year of retail experience and six months of supervisory experience preferred.

Working Conditions:

  • Frequent walking and standing.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, and kneeling to run check out stations and stock merchandise.
  • Frequent handling of merchandise and equipment.
  • Frequent and proper lifting of up to 40 pounds.
