Cardiac Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Centerpoint Medical Center. As a key member of our respiratory therapy department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures ordered by physicians, including medical gas administration, aerosol therapy, and patient testing.
- Operate and maintain various types of respiratory and cardiopulmonary equipment, including mechanical ventilation and artificial airways.
- Provide patient education and monitoring, and assist with cardiopulmonary resuscitation as needed.
- Complete documentation of in-patient and departmental records, and maintain safety and infection control practices.
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current Respiratory Therapist license from the State Board for Respiratory Care.
- NBRC RRT certification.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 30 days of employment start date.
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross ACLS certification preferred upon hire.
- ACLS and NRP certification required within 6 months of hire.
- One year of recent clinical experience preferred.
