About This Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Centerpoint Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to our organization's mission of delivering compassionate care and top-notch customer service.

Responsibilities
  • Under the general supervision of the RT Supervisor or Team Leader, you will perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures ordered by a physician, including medical gas administration, aerosol therapy, and patient testing.
  • You will operate and maintain various types of respiratory and cardiopulmonary equipment, provide mechanical ventilation, and maintain artificial airways.
  • You will also assist with cardiopulmonary resuscitation, provide patient education, and monitor equipment and patient response to therapy.
Requirements
  • Associates or Bachelors in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program required.
  • Must hold a current Respiratory Therapist license from the State Board for Respiratory Care.
  • NBRC RRT certification required.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • American Heart Association or American Red Cross ACLS preferred upon hire.
  • ACLS and NRP required within 6 months of hire.
  • One year of recent clinical experience preferred.
