Restaurant Crew Lead Job Description

A Restaurant Crew Lead is responsible for providing leadership to crew members and other leads during a shift to ensure exceptional quality, service, and cleanliness to customers. This role involves a variety of tasks, including planning for each shift, monitoring performance, taking action to ensure team members are meeting company standards, monitoring safety and security, and communicating with the next leader to prepare them for a successful shift.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Production or Assembly: Ensure efficient and effective production processes.
  • Internal Communication: Foster open communication among team members to ensure seamless operations.
  • Inventory Management and Organization: Maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure a clean and organized workspace.
  • Daily Maintenance/Cleanliness: Ensure the restaurant is clean and well-maintained at all times.
  • Quality Food Production: Ensure all food meets company standards for quality and safety.
  • Exceptional Customer Service: Provide legendary customer service to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Safety and Security: Monitor and maintain a safe and secure work environment.
  • Scheduling Deviations: Manage scheduling changes and ensure adequate staffing.
  • Training: Provide training and development opportunities for team members.
Essential Skills
  • Delegate responsibilities to team members and ensure they are exceeding guest expectations.
  • Ensure all products are stocked and stored properly.
  • Become a subject matter expert in each area of the restaurant.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the restaurant.
  • Ensure proper setup and breakdown of the entire restaurant, including dining room, restrooms, kitchen, and prep areas.
  • Own open, mid, or close routines for the next shift.
  • Ensure all food meets company food safety regulations and is of high quality.
  • Recognize and reward team members for a job well-done and embody the company culture.
  • Exemplify legendary guest service for the entire team.
