About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Shift Manager to join our team at DND Groups, Inc. as a Shift Manager - Restaurant Operations. As a Shift Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our quick service restaurant, providing exceptional customer service, and leading a team of crew members to achieve high standards of performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Restaurant Operations: Assist in the execution of restaurant operations during scheduled shifts, ensuring that all aspects of the restaurant are running efficiently and effectively.
  • Team Leadership: Build strong relationships with crew members, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment that encourages learning, teamwork, and growth.
  • Training and Coaching: Assist the General Manager and Assistant Manager in training and coaching crew members to develop their skills and knowledge, ensuring that they are equipped to provide exceptional customer service and meet high standards of performance.
  • Customer Service: Exceed guest expectations by providing high-quality service, a clean environment, and a warm and friendly atmosphere. Build relationships with customers, particularly regular or preferred patrons.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with the Assistant Manager, General Manager, District Manager, Director of Operations, and VP of Operations to ensure that all aspects of the restaurant are running smoothly.
  • Problem-Solving: Handle routine customer complaints, taking prompt and appropriate action to resolve the problem and ensure that each dissatisfied customer leaves happy.
  • Work Environment: Ensure that the restaurant is adequately organized and staffed through proper task assignments and break rotation during both peak and non-peak periods.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Minimum 6+ months of high-volume quick service restaurant experience required. The ability to move, perform, and respond quickly under pressure and for long periods of time is essential.
  • Skills: Ability to perform the functions of each crew position, including customer service, product preparation, cash accountability, drive-thru, and back-line food preparation. Possesses the leadership qualities necessary to coach crew on restaurant policies, standards, and customer service.
  • Certifications: ServSafe certified or approved equivalent.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work in and out of different temperature ranges, stand for long periods of time, work around possible allergens, and lift up to 50 pounds.
