Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Child Development Specialist to join our team at FirstSteps for Kids Inc. As a key member of our clinical team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to children with unique needs.

About the Role

The Child Development Specialist will work closely with our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to design and implement personalized treatment plans for our clients. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about child development and want to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for children with autism and other developmental disabilities.
  • Collaborate with BCBAs to ensure seamless execution of treatment plans.
  • Provide direct care and support to children, including one-on-one ABA therapy sessions.
  • Conduct progress assessments and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of client progress.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
  • Strong passion for child development and commitment to delivering high-quality care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and participate in physical activities related to childcare.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid California driver's license.

Compensation and Benefits:
