The Registered Nurse role at Parkway Cardiology Associates is a full-time position requiring 80 hours per pay period on the day shift.

Role Summary:

The Registered Nurse will deliver professional nursing care in an outpatient clinic environment, ensuring high standards of patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow established departmental policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental goals and maintain effective employee relations.
  • Prepare patients for procedures and assist in assessments, accurately documenting patient history and performing basic triage.
  • Gather initial patient conditions, create nursing histories, and communicate findings to the appropriate healthcare provider.
  • Ensure patient comfort and privacy by applying effective communication techniques.
  • Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures related to patient care.
  • Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and their families.
  • Monitor and ensure the accuracy of patient medical records and maintain required documentation.
  • Manage supply inventory and ensure equipment is well-maintained.
  • Conduct daily inspections for compliance with policies and take corrective actions as necessary.
  • Schedule patient appointments as directed by physicians and communicate details effectively.
  • Relay important information from hospitals or nursing homes to the healthcare provider promptly.
  • Ensure timely communication of test results to patients.
  • Complete the medical orientation checklist.
  • Initiate patient education as appropriate.
  • Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary team members.
  • Implement care plans as per physician orders and patient diagnoses.
  • Coordinate patient care under physician supervision.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in age-appropriate care delivery.
  • Engage in professional development through workshops and seminars to stay updated on industry trends.
  • Collaborate with patients, physicians, and care team members to enhance overall patient care.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education: No specific educational requirements, but must meet the standards for the necessary licensure and certification.

Experience: Preferred minimum of one year of professional nursing experience.

Licensure: Valid Tennessee RN license required, along with annual CPR and OSHA training.
