Position Overview

As a Registered Nurse at Parkway Cardiology Associates, you will be an integral part of our healthcare team, providing exceptional nursing care in an outpatient clinic environment.

Employment Type: Full-time, 80 hours per pay period, Day shift

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to established departmental policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental goals and maintain effective employee relations.
  • Prepare patients for scheduled procedures and assist in comprehensive patient assessments.
  • Accurately document patient histories and perform basic triage as per established protocols.
  • Demonstrate sensitivity to patient comfort and privacy using effective communication techniques.
  • Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures related to direct patient care.
  • Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and their families during visits.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate patient medical records and required documentation.
  • Manage inventory of supplies and ensure all equipment is well-maintained.
  • Conduct daily inspections for compliance with policies and take corrective actions as necessary.
  • Schedule external patient appointments based on physician orders and communicate details to patients.
  • Handle communications from hospitals and nursing homes, relaying information to practitioners promptly.
  • Ensure timely receipt and communication of test results to patients.
  • Complete medical orientation checklists as required.
  • Initiate patient education as appropriate.
  • Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary team members to deliver comprehensive care.
  • Implement care plans as directed by physicians and based on patient diagnoses.
  • Coordinate patient care with physician oversight and problem-solving as needed.
  • Exhibit competence in delivering age-appropriate care to diverse patient populations.
  • Engage in professional development through seminars and workshops to stay updated in the field.
  • Collaborate effectively with patients, physicians, and care team members to enhance overall patient care.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned or requested.

Qualifications:

Education: No specific educational requirements; must meet the standards for licensure and certification as mandated by relevant authorities.

Experience: A minimum of one year of professional nursing experience is preferred.

Licensure: A valid Tennessee RN license is required, along with annual CPR and OSHA training.
