About the Job

We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to fill this critical role in our Patient Access Department. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Registration and scheduling: Ensure accurate and timely registration of patients, utilizing electronic medical records and manual systems as needed
  • Insurance verification and authorization: Verify patient insurance coverage, obtain pre-authorizations, and confirm patient eligibility for services
  • Communication: Coordinate with various departments, physicians' offices, and patients to ensure smooth patient flow and address any concerns
  • Problem-solving: Apply critical thinking skills to resolve issues related to patient registrations, scheduling, and insurance verifications

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Basic computer skills, including typing (30 WPM) and proficiency in electronic medical records systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
