Key Responsibilities- Collaboration and Leadership
Collaborate with the Nurse Manager to supervise staff and unit operations, providing direct patient care and ensuring the delivery of safe and quality patient care on the unit.
Staff Supervision and DevelopmentSupervise and develop staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality patient care. Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance management to staff as needed.
Administrative and Quality ManagementPerform administrative and quality management activities to ensure unit compliance with departmental, Prisma Health, safety, regulatory, environmental, and infection control standards.
Human Resources and Budget ManagementAssist the Nurse Manager with human resources activities, including interviewing, hiring, evaluating, coaching, counseling, and performance management of unit staff. Assist with budget management and allocation of unit resources.
Project Management and Quality ImprovementAssist in planning, directing, and evaluating various short-term and long-term projects for the unit. Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to improve patient care outcomes.
Requirements- Education
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Experience2 years of RN experience in an appropriate area of nursing
Certifications/Registrations/LicensesCurrent R.N. Licensure as recognized by South Carolina
Preferred Qualifications- Previous Management Experience
Previous management or supervisory experience preferred
Certified in Nursing SpecialtyCertified in a nursing specialty preferred
Work EnvironmentThis is a day shift position at our Patewood Outpatient Center/Med Offices location.
