Fleet Technician Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Fleet Technician to join our team at Penn Power Group. As a Fleet Technician, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance inspections and repairs on fleet vehicles, as well as routine maintenance, oil changes, electrical services, and lubrication.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Performing preventative maintenance inspections and repairs on fleet vehicles
  • Routine maintenance, oil changes, electrical services, and lubrication
  • Accurately recording time, parts, and PM inspection checklists
  • Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing all fleet vehicles
  • Performing prescribed Preventative Maintenance services
  • Diagnosing and identifying vehicle and equipment malfunctions and determining corrective actions to be taken through tests and inspections
  • Testing vehicles and equipment after repairs and verifying completion of repairs to ensure a quality service deliverable
  • Repairing or overhauling engines, transmissions, gear trains, differentials, steering systems, brake systems, clutch systems, electrical systems, power takeoffs, hydraulic and pneumatic lifts and controls, and related components
  • Brazing or welding frames, sheet metal, and various equipment components, such as trailers
Requirements:
  • Positivity, adaptability, creativity, energy
  • Superior ability to fill out forms and charts
  • Superior skill and ability to utilize computer-driven vehicle diagnostic software
  • Considerable ability to perform vehicle and equipment overhaul and repair safely, effectively, and efficiently
  • ASE certifications
  • Diesel Engine Technical degree and/or training
