Job Overview

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Fire Alarm Technician to enhance our operations at Archetype Permanent Solutions. This position involves working with fire alarm systems, focusing on tasks such as programming, commissioning, and customer support. The role encompasses service repairs, maintenance, upgrades, and the provision of emergency services when necessary.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Conduct service repairs, maintenance, and upgrades on fire alarm systems.
  • Program and commission fire alarm systems to guarantee peak performance.
  • Offer troubleshooting and support for clients, resolving any concerns related to their fire alarm systems.
  • Address after-hours or emergency service requests as required.
  • Ensure adherence to NFPA standards, including NFPA 70 and 72.
  • Work with a diverse range of commercial fire alarm systems.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED certificate.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • At least 2 years of experience in installing and programming fire alarm systems.
  • Minimum of NICET II certification (programming experience is essential).
  • Familiarity with Honeywell NOTIFIER is advantageous.
  • Understanding of NFPA standards is beneficial (including NFPA 70 and 72).
  • Capability to work on ladders and lift equipment (up to 50 lbs).
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Frequent use of stairs, climbing, and descending is expected.
