We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Superintendent to join our team at Vantage Construction Corp. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing the field personnel and subcontractors on our projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Project Management: Assist in developing project mobilization plans, review plans and specs for scope and constructability, and develop and execute efficient means, methods, and techniques of performing work.
- Field Operations: Develop and maintain harmonious relations with owner representatives, subcontractors, vendors, and jurisdictional inspectors, and coordinate field activities of subcontractors and suppliers.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all construction work is completed to the highest quality standards, and produce accurate project documentation, including two-week look-ahead schedules, as-built drawings, and daily construction reports.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and direct field personnel and subcontractors, and delegate work appropriately to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial construction interior tenant fit-outs, with a strong background in project management and field operations.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required, with a degree in construction management or a related field preferred.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of project management software, Microsoft Office products, and construction industry standards, with excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills, with the ability to collect and analyze data to inform project decisions.
- Customer Service: Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to respond promptly to customer needs and concerns.
- Dependability: Strong work ethic, with the ability to follow instructions and take responsibility for own actions.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders, including owners, subcontractors, and vendors.
The work environment for this role is typically performed on a construction site, where the noise level can be high. The incumbent must have the physical ability to review progress at construction sites in all phases of the construction.
