Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Psychotherapeutic Nursing Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team at the Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters. This role will involve providing individualized psychiatric and medical nursing care to children and adolescents in response to their unique needs. Responsibilities:
  • • Develop and implement comprehensive plans of care for patients with complex mental health needs
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure seamless transitions
    • Provide education and support to patients and families on coping strategies and disease management
    • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction

Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Requirements:
  • • Current Virginia state license as a Registered Nurse or Compact State license
    • Minimum one year of experience in a psychiatric inpatient or emergency room setting
    • BSN degree preferred; Associates degree in Nursing with applicable experience considered
