JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Technical Platform Owner for B2B E-commerce Systems will lead the design, implementation, and support of e-commerce and marketplace solutions at Driven Brands. This role encompasses the complete spectrum of e-commerce technologies, including SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) and Mirakl Marketplace. A strategic focus on technical frameworks that promote growth, operational efficiency, and enhanced user experience is essential, with measurable outcomes reflecting business results. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of business insight and extensive technology governance experience. As a leader, you will be responsible for the delivery and decision-making related to people, processes, and technology.

E-commerce Platform Strategy and Execution:

  • Formulate and execute a strategic vision for SAP Commerce Cloud and Mirakl platforms, ensuring alignment with overarching business objectives and digital commerce ambitions.
  • Oversee the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC), from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance, ensuring the robustness and scalability of e-commerce solutions.
  • Provide design recommendations that align with long-term IT organizational strategies, employing suitable software engineering methodologies.

Vendor and Technology Management:

  • Serve as the primary liaison for all vendor relationships concerning the e-commerce technology stack, negotiating contracts and managing service level agreements to guarantee optimal performance and cost efficiency.
  • Assess and select technology solutions that enhance the e-commerce architecture, prioritizing long-term scalability and integration capabilities.

Operational Excellence and Platform Optimization:

  • Ensure ongoing improvement and maintenance of the platforms, concentrating on system performance metrics, uptime, and transactional integrity.
  • Lead initiatives in platform security, compliance audits, and adaptations to meet evolving regulations and business needs.

Innovation and Roadmap Development:

  • Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements in e-commerce to incorporate innovative solutions that improve customer experience and operational efficiency.
  • Plan and manage the roadmap for upgrading and scaling e-commerce platforms, including the integration of AI and ML technologies to enhance personalization and customer engagement.

Cross-functional Team Leadership:

  • Collaborate with IT specialists, business stakeholders, and external partners to ensure that platform developments meet both technical and business perspectives.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to Business Product Owners, ensuring project scopes and deliverables align with technical standards and business expectations.
  • Act as a mentor and escalation point for development and support teams.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience managing SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) marketplace (Mirakl) and Google Analytics platforms, with a solid understanding of their architecture, standard functionalities, and customization capabilities.
  • 7+ years of experience managing e-commerce solutions.
  • 7+ years of in-depth knowledge of software development practices, including agile methodologies, DevOps, and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) frameworks.
  • 7+ years of strong background in system architecture design, particularly in e-commerce, with experience in API management, microservices, and headless commerce.
  • 7+ years of experience with applications that integrate with data solutions (DW, ML, AI).
  • 7+ years of experience with .Net, Java, C#, SQL, Python, or R.
  • 3+ years of experience presenting and engaging with business partners and stakeholders.
  • Preferred Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; additional certifications in SAP Hybris, Project Management (PMP), or Agile methodologies are highly advantageous.
  • 5+ years of experience in B2B or B2C Retail or automotive sectors.
  • Strong master data experience, particularly in product and customer data management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, capable of managing cross-functional, multi-shore teams and complex stakeholder relationships.
  • Exceptional business-writing skills, with the ability to synthesize complex concepts and translate them into business opportunities.
  • Proven excellence in planning, priority setting, and project management skills to handle multiple projects and resources in a fast-paced environment.
