Position Overview:

This role is a non-exempt position responsible for delivering safe and effective patient care throughout their treatment journey under the supervision of a physician or advanced practice provider.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately measures and records patient height, weight, and vital signs while assessing for pain and distress.
  • Facilitates the patient intake process by escorting individuals to examination rooms.
  • Reviews and updates medication lists and pharmacy preferences in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) during each visit.
  • Documents patient allergies and health histories in the EMR at every encounter.
  • Completes necessary screening questionnaires and records findings in the EMR.
  • Prepares examination and treatment areas to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Communicates prescription needs and refills to the supervising nurse for EMR entry.
  • Assists providers during procedures and examinations, serving as a chaperone when necessary.
  • Supports treatment room operations by monitoring vital signs and ensuring patient comfort.
  • Collects non-invasive laboratory specimens as required.
  • Coordinates appointment scheduling and referrals with front office staff under the direction of a provider.
  • Assists patients in completing necessary forms according to company policies, ensuring review by a nurse.
  • Maintains stocked supplies in examination and infusion rooms to meet daily operational needs.
  • Informs supervisors of any clinic needs or concerns regarding the work environment.
  • Participates in committees and attends mandatory training sessions and meetings.
  • Completes required training and competency validations in a timely manner.
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by management.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Understanding of OSHA regulations for safe handling of biological materials.
  • Proficiency in computer applications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to gather and report information effectively.
  • Excellent customer service skills, including phone etiquette and patient interaction.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with staff and external agencies.
  • Exhibits a positive, respectful, and empathetic demeanor at all times.
Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant program or the first semester of a nursing program (RN or LPN).
  • Preferred: 6 months of experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within three months of hire.
Additional Requirements:

Willingness to travel to various locations as needed.
