We are seeking a highly skilled Polysomnography Technician II to join our team at Baptist Memorial Health Care. As a Polysomnography Technician II, you will be responsible for performing basic polysomnographic testing and associated interventions under the direct supervision of the clinical director or medical director.
Responsibilities- Collects, analyzes, and integrates patient information to identify and meet patient-specific needs and determine final testing parameters/procedures in conjunction with the ordering physician or clinical director and laboratory protocols.
- Oversees and performs difficult and unusual procedures and therapeutic interventions.
- Follows procedural protocols.
- Demonstrates the ability to analyze complex situations and apply policy.
- Completes assigned goals.
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Successful completion of an accredited educational program leading to an associate degree with an emphasis in polysomnography OR Successful completion of a polysomnography program of no less than one year duration associated with a state licensed and/or a nationally accredited educational facility or equivalent experience and documented proficiency at all competencies required of a Polysomnographic Technician.
- Certification by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist or equivalent.
- BLS certification within 14 days of hire date.
- Basic computer literacy skills.
