Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Assistant to join our team at AmeriCare Health & Retirement, Inc. in Fallbrook, CA. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing building maintenance, responding to work orders, and providing excellent customer service to our residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine building maintenance tasks, including repairs and replacements of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
  • Respond promptly to work orders and provide clear communication to residents and staff.
  • Conduct outside grounds maintenance, including sweeping of parking lots and litter clean up.
  • Move furniture and equipment within the facility, using proper lifting and moving techniques.
  • Assist with setup and breakdown for hosted special events.
  • Act as liaison between maintenance supervisor and subcontractors, providing clear instructions and access to workstations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to residents, visitors, and staff.
  • Maintain a safe working environment through accident prevention, equipment preservation, and safe working practices.
Requirements
  • Must be 18 years old.
  • Must have knowledge and physical energy to perform job duties.
  • Understand plumbing items, such as sinks, faucets, and toilets, to perform repairs.
  • Ability to perform common maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs and operating carpet shampooing machines.
  • Fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask.
  • Ability to respond effectively in emergency or crisis situations.
Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to bend, squat, stoop, climb, kneel, and stand for extended periods. Additionally, the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds is required.

Special Requirements
  • Must pass background check.
  • Must pass drug test, pre-employment physical, and TB test.
