About the RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to serve as our Fitness Operations Coordinator at the Addison Park District. This key position will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, registering patrons for programs and events, and supporting the administrative needs of our facility.
Responsibilities- Serve as a facility opener, preparing Club Fitness for business operations.
- Perform opening and closing duties, including arming/disarming/locking/unlocking building and security systems.
- Greet the public courteously and respectfully, answering any questions as needed.
- Register patrons for recreation programs utilizing the Park District registration software, take payment, and provide receipts for all transactions.
- Handle customer service escalations for resolution as needed.
- Provide training support for new staff members, including assisting in the onboarding of new hires and training on new processes or systems for current employees.
- Must be 18 years of age.
- General knowledge of word processing and general office operations.
- Previous customer service experience preferred.
- Bilingual skills preferred (Polish, Italian, and/or Spanish).
The Fitness Operations Coordinator will work in a smoke-free environment with controlled temperature and fluorescent lighting. The role requires frequent walking, standing, and reaching, with occasional exposure to natural and potentially extreme weather conditions while attending to job-related activities.
This is a part-time, non-exempt position with up to 19 hours per week. The successful candidate must be able to work harmoniously with fellow employees, patrons, community groups, and other units of local government.
