Job Summary

The Facilities Engineer will be responsible for the design, installation, operation, and maintenance of Padagis US Facilities, with a focus on security and life safety systems. This includes all hardware, software, and related infrastructure for access controls, cameras, fire suppression, and fire/smoke/water/burglary/temperature/humidity alarms.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of security, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, as well as experience with troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, install, operate, and maintain security and life safety systems
  • Ensure facility, security, and life safety systems are operating and maintained properly and are compliant with Local/State/DEA/FDA regulations, meet insurance company requirements, and comply with all applicable safety and environmental policies
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex and technical facility-related issues
  • Lead and participate in facility/security-related capital and/or continuous improvement projects as assigned (hardware/software upgrades, system and device replacements, facility renovations, manufacturing expansions, etc.)
  • Collaborate with Management, EHS, and local authorities to develop and implement effective emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures, and assist with regular drills to ensure preparedness
  • Respond to and resolve facility-related emergencies or disruptions promptly, minimizing impact to operations
  • Support the Facilities Engineering Manager in decision-making processes by providing data analysis and technical insights

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in Facilities Engineering or related field
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related field)
  • Basic knowledge of security, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
  • Strong oral and written English communication skills
  • Working knowledge of current safety, environmental, FDA, and DEA regulations in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Proven ability to solve complex facility-related issues
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
