Compliance Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Officer to join our team at Merchants Bank of Indiana. As a key member of our compliance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the bank's compliance with federal and state regulations, as well as company policies.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement compliance monitoring programs to identify and mitigate risk.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and testing to ensure the effectiveness of internal controls.
- Monitor and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on compliance matters.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and materials for the Compliance Committee.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
- Minimum of seven years of banking-related compliance experience.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations affecting financial institutions.
- Ability to work independently and as a team player.
- Highly resourceful and self-motivated individual with strong problem-solving skills.
