Job Summary

Agriland FS is seeking a seasoned Operations Director to lead our team and drive business growth. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for directing all operations and coordinating the distribution of products and services across our locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: Lead our location managers and customer service teams to achieve excellent customer satisfaction and maximize efficiencies.
  • Operational Excellence: Manage operations to achieve company financial objectives, including managing distribution costs and inventory.
  • Expense Management: Work closely with location managers to best manage expenses for each location.
  • Product Knowledge: Maintain and demonstrate knowledge of all products and services, including Energy, Agronomy, and Seed.
  • Facility Security: Ensure that all location facilities are secure according to company guidelines.
  • Performance Management: Conduct performance appraisals, recommend compensation and disciplinary actions, and provide regular coaching and counseling to location managers.
  • Operational Information: Provide operational and technical information to location managers and customer service teams.
  • Training and Development: Identify and implement best practices to improve operations and customer service, and provide proactive leadership for training and developmental plans.
  • Safety and Regulatory Compliance: Direct safety and regulatory plans at all locations.
  • Equipment and Facility Maintenance: Lead the development and implementation of company equipment and facility maintenance programs.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business or 8-10 years of equivalent experience.
  • Industry Experience: Experience or strong understanding of Ag Retail preferred.
  • Leadership and Communication Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Business Skills: Excellent business skills with experience in CTO, budgeting, and inventory.
  • Mechanical Aptitude: Mechanical aptitude with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Organizational Skills: Very good organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
  • Driver's License: Must have a valid driver's license with the ability to travel as needed.
  • CDL and Custom Applicator License: Requires Class A CDL with endorsements and must maintain Custom Applicator License.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to lift a minimum of sixty pounds and be able to position that product in any area required or where the patron or supervisor requests.
  • Physical Abilities: Must be able to climb ladders, stairs, steps, walk on platforms at required heights to perform duties as required.
  • Vehicle Operation: Must be able to get in and out of, as well as operate, all required vehicles and equipment.
