Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Gehl Foods. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production lines by performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting equipment issues, and implementing preventive maintenance programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, and corrective maintenance, to ensure production lines are running at optimal efficiency.
  • Identify and troubleshoot equipment issues, using a variety of tools and techniques to resolve problems and minimize downtime.
  • Assist with equipment trial runs to confirm they meet production specifications and ensure equipment is returned to its original operating state.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and equipment modifications, including work logs and inventory management.
  • Collaborate with production staff to establish strong working partnerships and minimize downtime.
  • Ensure compliance with Gehl Foods safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Demonstrated mechanical skill and technical aptitude, with experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and detail-oriented skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work overtime, off-shift, weekends, and holidays as needed to support production needs.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English language, with basic to intermediate mathematical abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools (Outlook, Word, Excel) and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in Applied Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • 1 year of previous maintenance technician experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Certified as a Safety Professional (CSP).
  • Knowledge of aseptic processes, equipment, and products.
