Job Title: Robotics Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Robotics Technician to join our team at The Chamberlain Group Inc. As a key member of our Operations and Supply Chain group, you will be responsible for developing programming and performing calibration on automation equipment, maximizing equipment runtimes, and supporting production needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement programming and calibration strategies to optimize automation equipment performance
  • Support production needs by ensuring completion of all equipment corrective work orders and troubleshooting complex equipment failures
  • Mentor and train operators and maintenance technicians on the use of automation equipment
  • Review and recommend opportunities for improvement in equipment preventive maintenance best practices
  • Perform and assist in the repair and maintenance of robotic weld equipment, including hardware construction and validation
  • Conduct equipment automation failure analysis and define containment and permanent actions
  • Assist in creating preventive maintenance work orders checklists to improve overall equipment usage
  • Assist other technicians with preventive maintenance on complex equipment
  • Define programming methods and setups to maximize automation equipment usage
  • Help maintain and maximize equipment, parts, and supplies inventories
  • Utilize maintenance management systems to perform work in a timely and effective manner
  • Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules
  • Protect the company's reputation by keeping information confidential
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and participating in professional societies
  • Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed
Requirements:
  • Technical degree, associate degree, or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years experience in technical engineering
  • Experience using, maintaining, and repairing robotic welding equipment
  • Proficient knowledge of measurement instruments, electrical schematics, and mechanical drawings
  • Proficient in computers and basic software applications
  • Able to use electrical and mechanical tools, including screwdrivers, wrenches, drill bits, and drill tapers
  • Basic knowledge in analog circuitry, OPAMs, filters, transistors, and FETs
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 100 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods
  • Ability to use hands and fingers, handle, and feel
  • Ability to climb and balance
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and crawl
  • Ability to reach with hands and arms
  • Ability to see, talk, and hear
  • Preferred: Robotic welding certification
